SINCE my last letter the estimated turnout for the Police & Crime Commissioner election has dropped from 18 per cent to 15 per cent. This means the winning candidate could take up office with the backing of just five per cent of the electorate. As I have said before, this election is a farce, even illegal maybe, not to mention the £300,000 wasted duplicating the forms with what is widely regarded in Gwent as a Mickey Mouse language.
