I HAVE been debating this week whether to cancel my Argus delivery as the price rise is to my mind exorbitant.

I have read the Argus for 40 years. My mind was finally made up after reading the editor’s comments re. Mr Johnston.
For the first time I opted not to vote in this election as I felt it morally wrong to put a cross next to a name I had never heard of and for a job that should not have been put to public vote. This should have been run by a panel of experts in this field who know what the job involved and the qualifications required. I do not believe this job should be involved with the appointment/dismissal of the Chief Constable. This again should be left to a qualified panel.
I am therefore cancelling my order for the Argus, which I no longer believe is value for money.
