YET again we read of (R H Ashton) opposition to the Circuit of Wales coming from outside the county borough, albeit from a “former resident”.  I am not a motor racing enthusiast, although my wife is.

I am however an enthusiast for pastoral care. I am an enthusiast for seeing the 25 per cent of young people who have never had paid employment getting good work and a decent living.
I am an enthusiast for knowing that my parishioners want an economic and social prosperity that hasn’t been since the demise of the steelworks.
When increasing demands on the foodbank and Christians Against Poverty debt counselling becomes more evident, it’s time to realise the greater good and fight for the prospect of real employment, albeit at the cost of some noise and a marginal effect on the environment.
To the financial backers of Circuit of Wales we say you can’t get here soon enough.
