NORMALLY on a sunny day off I would have picked up a national paper and read it over coffee. Today (Tuesday July 9) I grabbed a copy of the South Wales Argus for the first time in a while.
In all honesty I had stopped buying it feeling a lack of, well, reading material, usually flicking through and condemning it to the trash in 5 minutes flat. This morning however what a difference. Plenty of good local news, some positive news, a really strong business update section and good sports coverage.
I appreciate the price has risen slightly recently, but if this standard is maintained it’s genuinely good value and over half an hour later I’m still reading it.
Well done all involved. Newport needs a positive local newspaper and it’s clear that things have really improved of late and I’m pleased to say I’ll be buying it more not less in future, keep up the good work.
