THE “compensation” payouts to BBC officials are obscene and beg the question: Why? BBC TV was to be funded by a TV Licence fee and, to their credit, the BBC in return produced high quality entertainment in the form of comedy, drama and arts.

This was successful until, one day, with no public dialogue, the 630 deadbeats in Parliament decided to introduce satellite TV and Joe Public was offered the delights of the likes of Sky TV – the biggest load of bilge ever foisted upon a reluctant population. Now, instead of 48 channels, we have 900! But we still have to pay for a TV licence. Why?
As well as the TV licence fee we now have to subscribe to something like Sky TV, paying £26 a month to be able to watch this garbage. On top of this, advert time has increased from something like 10 minutes per hour to something like 24 minutes.
What we can’t do is unsubscribe to BBC TV, then we, logically, wouldn’t need a TV licence if we didn’t watch BBC. But as usual Joe Public is being stuffed both ways.
