I WAS bitterly disappointed with Cllr Nigel Dix (SWA  July 15). Here is a man who paraded his integrity when he refused to be gagged by Caerphilly CBC. Labour must use a softer rope to gag now.

But if the question of the staggering incompetence over the secret pay deal was too hard to contemplate, let me ask about the essential car user allowance.
Forty senior managers awarded themselves in total £102,000 or £2,567 each. Lowly employees had theirs rescinded and lost £960 each.
Caerphilly took eighteen years to establish a senior management disciplinary panel. With no police investigation to hide behind, will Cllr Dix now refer this breach to the senior management disciplinary panel or will the Labour party continue with the absurd, comical and repulsive levels of incompetence?
The only way to establish good governance in Caerphilly is for the Labour led Welsh Assembly to impose commissioners.
Imagine if someone had claimed a short while ago that a local authority would be looking for the fourth chief executive in a few months. They would be thought of as deranged. Deranged is a good description of Labour in Caerphilly.
