I AM writing to let your readers know that Macmillan Cancer Support’s mobile service will be at the Caerphilly Big Cheese Festival from Saturday, July 27, to Sunday, July 28.
People can visit the service from 11am to 6pm for free, confidential advice and information relating to cancer from Macmillan’s trained information and support specialists.
We know that around 18,000 people are given the devastating news that they have cancer every year in Wales. Each of these people need more than medical help – they also need practical, emotional and financial support. They can receive this support on our mobile service or by calling the Macmillan Support Line on 0808 800 0000 between 9am to 8pm Monday to Friday.
Macmillan can only fund services such as this thanks to the generosity of the public.
To find out more about how you can help, call 0300 1000 200 or visit www.macmillan.org.uk/fundraising.
Susan Morris,
General manager for Wales, Macmillan Cancer Support
