I READ with stunned amazement that the Tories want to sell off the UK transfusion service to a US private hedge fund.

I am alarmed at the idea of this just because of patient safety. Do we really want to go down the same path as America, with junkies selling their blood and us having to pay dearly for this? Is this just another blatant attempt to kill off the NHS?
When will the general public wake up to the fact that all this privatisation (e.g. gas and electric) has ended up costing us a fortune? The public is just letting this happen without a word of protest; wake up it’s too late once it’s done.
We own these things, not an unelected bunch of Tories kept in power by the so called Liberal Democratics.
