AS an ex-St. Julian’s pupil 1949-1955, I well remember that fuselage in the “dingle”. I have no idea what plane it was, or how it got there.
I think it was a tradition that “new boys” or first week boys, if they happened to stand near the edge of the Dingle, were pushed down into the dingle, this happened to me and I came to rest against the fuselage. I even managed to break off a small piece of fuselage.
It would be interesting, if anyone could give any information about what plane it was, how it got there, and what happened to it. A 66 year old mystery might be solved.
