YET AGAIN I am writing about the buses not coming down Evans Street. This morning (Monday), four elderly people were waiting for the 9.55am bus in Evans Street, I was one of them, but it didn’t turn up, there wouldn’t be another one for another two hours.
I walked into town, did my shopping but had to get a taxi back home, as there was no bus at that time coming down Evans Street.
I have been told, that a lady went to the bus office to complain, as she got was it ‘is up to the drivers’.
I don’t think that is good enough.
The bus drivers are paid to do a job, there is always an unemployed person to take on the job of bus driving if the drivers don’t do it, I am 93 now, and can’t always be walking into town. Wake up drivers – you will be old one day.
