MR A NUTT attempts to justify Plaid Cymru opposition to the living wage by arguing that the timing is wrong. Can Mr Nutt explain why Plaid failed to introduce the living wage when they were power?
I would add that Plaid Cymru public opposition to a living wage is highly hypocritical and classic Plaid double talk. When the issue was debated at full council Plaid Cymru councillors either voted in favour or had no opinion and abstained. The point is a living wage is just that, a wage that enables people to have a better standard of living. Is that too much to ask for in the eighth wealthiest country in the world? I think not.
