FOUR weeks ago I tripped and fell by the kerb by the Principality Building Society. I fell heavily against the post and fractured my elbow quite badly. I wish to say thanks to the ambulance team, Alan and Sarah, for their quick response, and for all the help at the Royal Gwent, which is the x ray dept and plastic unit. Also to Nurse Amy, who kindly arranged hospital transport home and informing Age Concern of the help I would need. They were excellent, as well as the home care service from Newport Homes.
Lastly I would say a special thanks to the lady who had just come out of Greggs and was on her way to work, but stayed with me until the ambulance came, as well as giving me her bottle of water. The kindness was overwhelming.
