ALTHOUGH I appreciate I have had a fair bite of the cherry re: the proposed Circuit of Wales race track. I feel I must respond to Mr Kelvin Went (Argus Letters, September 4) The vast majority of jobs will be part-time and/or low paid resulting in the employees having to claim extra benefits such as working tax credit , child tax credit etc, (possibly Universal Credit will have sorted itself by then!) placing an extra burden on the tax-payer.
Any senior management or managerial post will be ‘bussed in’ from outside the area and Wales itself.
Lastly I disagree that The South Wales Argus does not print supporting letters. The Editor and reporting staff have written on numerous occasion avidly supporting the project However, I do find it odd that the Editor himself is in favour or the Race Circuit I would have thought he had more nous than to be suckered into believing the bumf in the press releases issued by the company responsible for the Circuit or, maybe he is just trying to boost sales in that area!
