I SEE that anglers are now using the Boating Lake again. We also have two beautiful swans and seven fit and healthy cygnets, which I hope will be left in peace.

I think it would be a very good idea for their protection if a couple of visible notices were erected near the lake, informing anglers that all tackle line and lead must be removed when they have finished fishing. As most people know, lead can be fatal to swans when ingested.
