THE ongoing, debate between Messrs Dix and Nutt over the merits of a “living wage” reveals both gentlemen are willing perhaps to accept crumbs from the capitalist’s table but they have a limited ambition to own the bakery! For them exploitation through wage slavery is fine but what matters is the rate of exploitation. As Pierre Joseph Proudhon asked “What is Property?” and indeed replied “It is Theft!”.
Perhaps the above “socialists” (democratic and nationalist) could kindly state whether they wish for the means of production, distribution and wealth to be publically owned by assemblies of workers? Or maybe they prefer the capitalist unaccountable private corporate tyranny model and the begging bowl?
