I NOTICED the latest news highlighting the dangers of crossing the railway lines. The incident shown today was of the lad who crossed over to catch the train at Risca railway station, and nearly lost his life. While I would never condone this stupid action, I would like to ask network rail why, when the car park is northbound and you want to go to Cardiff, why have we got such a long walk down a ramp, under a bridge, up another ramp to catch the train? Surely a footbridge should have been installed when this station was built?I would add I suffer from angina and had breathing problems by the time I got to the other side, just in in time for my train!
