WELL said R Morgan of Risca, you state exactly what I would have said about the persistent and poisonous presence of these useless vermin, spreading disease daily in Newport city, which should be ashamed. Not only at the bus station, but outside the Dock Street entrance of the Indoor Market, where silly people bring food in paper bags to feed them, actually enjoying what they are doing!
The seagulls, also, are just carrying and spreading disease and it’s time the city council took action to completely eliminate these vermin.
What a welcoming sight for visitors, who may change their minds now, about dropping off in Newport unless they have very urgent business to do. The easy way to remove all of these pests is to trap them with a spring-loaded large net and then gas them.
I hope there is an animal crematorium to dispose of them all, without a great fuss or protests from the bird lovers! A good bird would fly back to its loft, not lose its way and touch down to enjoy free meals and sympathy. Get rid before the new bus station opens.
