ALLAN Pritchard, (December 6), expressed the view that the First Minister showed “utter disrespect” when answering questions on the education rating for Wales. I accept his right to make such comments and would fight for his right to make them. However, I cannot but believe that he is being a bit holier than thou in this instance.
He would do well to note the comments of Grangemuse in his email. It is a fact that the cost of the Welsh Language Act, forced on Labour as the price of power in the Assembly, has been horrendous. Millions wasted by a minority to inflict a dying language on the rest of us. Surely Mr Pritchard would agree that this money could have been better spent on educating our children? If he does not, he is being sanctimonious His party has a policy of not answering questions put to them in this newspaper. Surely there is a similarity with Carwyn Jones? He will also know that his party, the Welsh Nationalists, played a part in the governance of Wales in the recent past and as such he should acknowledge their share of the responsibilities in this matter.
