REFER to headlines in Torfaen Talks magazine. Bob Wellington, our leader, says he has been open and frank about the budget cuts for 2014/15 but I have seen little detail of actual cuts. I think we would accept cuts at facilities such as Greenmeadow Community Farm, and Llanyrafon Manor, which drain us up to £800,000 per year. They should surely have a business plan to make them self-supporting by now. I would prefer some protection for school crossing patrols. I don’t think our leaders of Torfaen council are making the right choices if these examples are anything to go by.
