I have recently had a couple of spells in the Royal Gwent Hospital as a patient, and I would like, through your newspaper, to offer my sincere thanks to the nursing staff and doctors at the RGH for their fantastic care.
These people do a wonderful job, often under the most trying of circumstances, and do not get the credit they deserve.
I would also like to thank the ambulance staff personnel for their care and attention during the last few weeks. It is so reassuring to know these people are there when you need them.
The NHS is often criticised, but I can say from first-hand experience what a superb job these health professionals do. We should all be proud of them.
Cllr Noel Trigg Bettws Newport
