I WAS interested to read your article on Tuesday, February 19, regarding smoking and no signs up in the bus station outside Newport Market.
Will this new Health Act also include the feeding of pigeons?
On Sunday, February 9, while waiting for the 12.30pm bus 26C, a man was sitting in the bus station surrounded by a flock of pigeons, and a big bag of feed.
Surely this is more serious than the smoking ban.
While I agree, smoking is unhealthy, so are the pigeons, with their droppings on people in the bus station.
We endured enough of that in the old bus station.
We are in desperate need to attract people to Newport and to use the buses, NOT LOSE THEM.
