I APPLAUD the idea of a Newport Monopoly game and agree with most of the proposed sites for the board. However, I have yet to hear of any options for the Chance and Community Chest squares. May I suggest the following: A. Visit the indoor market – Lose 12 turns waiting for the council to keep its pledges to traders.

B. Invest in the Newport Ship – Throw £200 immediately into the Usk C. Listen to promises to Newport from the Celtic Manor – Set fire to half or your remaining finances and lose all trust in entrepreneurs.

D. Attempt to catch a bus from the city centre – Move six squares in a random direction and abandon any hope of arrival.

E. Free Parking – This square does not exist in Newport; move directly to Cwmbran, do not pass Go, do not collect £200.

I’m sure there are many more options out there. Come on, you fellow sceptics; let’s hear from you.
