WOULD the Andrew Nutt calling on all political parties to “raise wages to the living wage” (Argus, 4 March), be the same Nationalist Mr Nutt who’s criticised our Labour-led Caerphilly Council for introducing the Living Wage for its lowest-paid staff?
Last week, Mr Nutt’s friends among Caerphilly’s Plaid Cymru councillors abdicated their responsibilities by walking out of the council meeting before a vote on the 2014-15 budget. It’s just as well Caerphilly Council’s Labour leadership set a fair budget that protects key services and jobs in our borough.
With the inconsistency of Mr Nutt, and the irresponsibility of Caerphilly’s Nationalist councillors, the less we hear from Plaid Cymru the better.
Cllr Gez Kirby St Andrews Drive Pontllanfraith
