I MUST agree with Joan Watkins and the ludicrous idea of smaller 14 litre waste bins.
We are a family of six who recycle until our little blue and green recycling boxes are overflowing as is our brown food bin.
Once our 14 litre bin is full, as it no doubt will be with fortnightly collections, do we put the excess rubbish in black bags, that we have to buy, and place by the side of it to be collected by the bin men who will “refuse” to take them?
Instead of wasting taxpayers’ money on rubbish ideas spend the money on fully resurfacing the roads in Christchurch cemetery and not just the potholes. Just a thought.
