AS PART of a recent drive to get fit, I’ve recently taken to jogging along the Crumlin Arm canal above Crosskeys and Risca.

I noticed that there is some work taking place at the Cwmcarn end of the canal and, being nosy, I searched the internet for more details.

That search revealed that about five years ago there was a plan for the canal to be brought up to scratch and made navigable along its entire length.

I can’t find any more up to date information on this - are any Argus readers able to assist?
