A CYCLIST with an apparent death wish missed my front bumper by an inch as he flashed past my car at the Old Green roundabout.
Looking to the right for a gap, I did not expect a cyclist to come the wrong way from the left. This took place at about 3.20pm on June 5. A second cycling incident happened at the really busy Maindee Festival when I was almost mown down by a cyclist – a young man cut in front of me and sped around, dodging the families and young children. Who are these young men and what is being done to prevent this risky behaviour? They obviously need a cycling activity that provides a challenge for them, but not to other walkers or drivers. What can the readers suggest?
