THE Labour Party is very good at playing the blame game. Whether after more than over 10 years of a Labour government in London blaming Thatcher, or more than over 15 years of a Labour government in Cardiff Bay who wasted two lots of European funding, but blames the short-term Tory government. Leaders of the Labour Party have said they would be making similar cuts.
The National Assembly for Wales Enterprise & Business Committee, which included five Welsh Labour AMs,was encouraged to think differently about supermarkets and that “anchor stores” should not necessarily be seen as a local win. That councils should use their powers to protect local high streets. Blackwood Gate has opened a Poundstretcher, which is not a new company as it was burned down in Blackwood High Street. With Lidl and Home Bargains a food shop, hasn’t Blackwood got enough food shops? While Home Bargains are mostly a white goods shop similar to the old Focus shop.
