I HAVE read with dismay the article re Alun Davies and the race track at Ebbw Vale. In many peoples opinion, Alun Davies was doing his utmost to improve matters for the people of Blaenau Gwent, one of the most deprived areas in Wales.
It may well be that he mistakenly overstepped the mark but it was done in all good faith and he has apologised for the mistake. I have had dealings with Alun Davies in the past and found him to be very supportive.
The Labour Party is losing ground fast in this area and if Alun were to be removed from his post, then support would slide even further. It’s good to see someone actually caring about the people of Blaenau Gwent and the future for the many youngsters without hope in this area.
It would appear from the article that most of the criticism is purely politically based without any care for constituents. From his actions it shows that Alun Davies does care.
