FANCY Cllr. Nigel Dix wanting to know what eight times seven is! Even Ed Balls could have told him (I think).
Recently, the Labour MP John Mann asked the chancellor what a pint of milk costs. Surely Mr. Mann has a supermarket near him!
The only Labour MP good at figures, though, is Liam Byrne, who upon leaving the Treasury in 2010, left a note saying – “Sorry folks, there’s no money left” – and he was spot on.
