WHAT a delight to see the Draig Goch flying proudly from the flag pole outside Torfaen Council’s Civic Centre in support of our team competing in the Commonwealth Games in Scotland. We all need to let the Welsh team know we are one hundred percent behind them. Well done Torfaen Council. Contrast this with the dire situation at Cwmbran Community Council whose newly installed flag poles, at the taxpayers’ expense, are not flying the Draig Goch in support of our National team’s efforts. Shame on you! I hope the new poles haven’t simply been purchased to fly the ‘Union Jack’ for royalty!
