A QUIET and powerful vigil was held by the peace-loving people of Newport and Gwent by the Chartist statue. The vigil called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
Passersby expressed their anger at the senseless, growing loss of lives in the continuing Israeli military action against the trapped civilian population. A children’s’ hospital built by money collected in Wales has been damaged by the bombing, medicines have run out.
We are determined to stand by the people of Gaza, until they win their freedom.
