WELL, pantomime season is nearly upon us and already the familiar red boards can be seen throughout Newport proclaiming “Vote Labour”. The only question that pops into my mind is why? Usually the political class blame the last government that was in office for any mistakes in Wales. They do not have that luxury in Newport – the town that has been run into the ground for decades.
For anyone who feels a bit down and wants a chuckle, may I point them to Mr Paul Flynn’s website which declares that “My generation of politicians have really delivered for Wales, making a strong government that could possibly lead to independence”.
Really Paul? To anyone who has not got a CF postcode, the general consensus has been that it has been a disaster. It’s just left a city in ruins and higher council tax bills to pay for it. So, before the people of Newport switch into auto pilot on polling day and vote Labour, ask yourself why.
