C BRADLEY condemns the people of Newport if they “switch into autopilot on polling day and vote Labour” (Letters,April 8).
The reason Mr/Ms Bradley sees so many red ‘Vote Labour’ boards and posters around the city is that so many residents want to get rid of this callous Tory/LibDem coalition government with its bedroom tax, support for zero hours contracts, tax cuts for the rich and public services cuts for the many.
Voters in Newport and across our Valleys prefer Labour’s positive message of change for a fairer, better Britain.
Cllr Gez Kirby, Pontllanfraith
