ON THE news this morning, young people cannot afford to buy a house due to low wages etc. Council houses, nobody mentions them. Is it something people do not want to associate with or is it the government trying to avoid upsetting the private construction industry?
It gets you on the ladder. Millions of people have lived in council houses and moved on. It has got to be the answer to the problem.
This goes to the so-called Labour Party and the you know who. It worked after the war – why not now? Or is it down to the private landlords that this government seem to adore?
