SO, Goldie Lookin’ Chain are coming to Newport to perform. Before they start their performance, perhaps — I say ‘perhaps’ because I have my doubts — the member of their group who also happens to be a councillor for St Julian’s ward could do a clean-up on Caerleon Road from the railway bridge to Turner Street.
There is vegetation cut down from the bridge rotting there, a mattress and goodness know what else has been dumped in the trees and what used to be the cycle shop. After that, go to the lane between Orchard Street and Stafford Road where there is a cushion going green and a carpet in a bag and plenty of dogs’ mess in bags! To round off the little tour of the ward, a clean-up of dogs’ mess in Oak Street and the corner of Durham Road. That should put them in fine form for their performance.
