IT IS now very obvious that Nigel Dix has been living in a bubble for the last 18 years. In yet another of his attacks on A Nutt, he says the Tories have governed Wales for the last five years.
I’m sorry to tell you Nigel, but Labour have been running Wales for the last 18 years, and have made a complete pig’s ear of the job.
Labour have failed the people of Wales. We have some of the poorest education standards in the world, with many teenagers leaving school who cannot read, write or even do simple arithmetic.
We have the worst hospital waiting lists in the UK, so bad that hundreds of patients are being sent to Bristol to a private hospital to have operations, paid for by the NHS in Wales. We still have a shocking level of child poverty in Wales. Was it not the previous Labour Leader Rhodri Morgan, who said Labour would eradicate such poverty? They have made it worse, not better.
Our communication systems are shocking, and Labour have failed to build a decent road from North to South Wales or from East to West. The list of failures by Labour in Wales goes on and on.
So how Nigel Dix can blame Plaid Cymru or anybody else for the mess, I just do not know. You need to get out of your bubble, Nigel, and get in the real world. When will any of you Labour politicians in Wales have the guts to admit your abject failures instead of blaming everybody else?
