LOOKING through the local papers, particularly the South Wales Argus, I have noticed, over the past few months, matters issued by the police seeking any information.
Recently, there was one about theft of a tray of rings in a Commercial Street shop and another about drills from B&Q.
I am sure that people would gladly pass on anything if the post contained more detail. The CCTV pictures show the alleged thieves, but there is no mention of nationality, colour or anything of note. For instance, in the rings theft, the shopkeeper may have heard the culprits speak.
Would identification of language have helped? It strikes me that PC rules apply these days to such an extent that even the police won’t include basic details!
