WHY is it that every holiday time, our estates’ bus services never run? On weekdays, we have a ten minute bus service, but as soon as holidays arrive, we have none.
Buses through our local town of Pontypool run to Abergavenny, Cwmbran, Newport and Cardiff, but we have to walk to our town from Trevethin to catch any of these, so families with children and pensioners who have no transport are stuck at home, stranded, unless you wish to walk over half a mile to go anywhere and on return, a steep walk home.
Surely, some sort of service could be put on, if only an hourly one, to give people a choice of going somewhere at holiday time.
