IN THE race towards the General Election, Ukip claim to be snatching votes here and there. My late son who had explored joining drew back because he had discovered they were very deeply misogynist. A comedian on TV recently called them the BNP in blazers – me and mine want nothing to do with them as we hope and pray they gain no foothold anywhere in our beloved country.
What made me laugh was the opinion of an assistant to Mr Farage who left and said “It’s like Carry On at the Golf Club”. And one of their candidates referred to a young man I very much admire, Lenny Henry, by demanding that he should go and live in a “black country”. I fortunately, will have most of my marbles and with clarity, I’ll vote to keep that other young man, David Cameron, in office.
