I HAVE today received my communication from the Labour Party. They promise to stop zero hours contracts. So, I assume that this is policy for the National and Welsh Labour parties. Yet the Welsh Assembly and Labour controlled councils use companies that employ people on zero hours contacts to provide services for them. They also voted against a motion in the Assembly to ban zero hours contracts. How hypocritical is this!

They need to put their own houses in order before coming up with these empty promises. In Wales, they do not need to wait for a General Election, they could do this tomorrow. So, I am waiting with baited breath to see how long it will take to do this in Wales.

In the meantime, they should all check their contracts with companies and make it a condition that only companies that do not use zero hours contracts will be used. Strange that we have heard nothing from the unions about this.
