I HAVE already mentioned the problems with the living wage being paid to Caerphilly council workers, much more than other council workers. This new rebranding will results in taxpayers paying more in council tax to pay for the redundancy and early retirement settlements, the rebranding of the new council with headed paper and various logos on vehicles and a new website. Do the people of Caerphilly really want a council office in Newport? Do the councillors really want to go to Newport for their council meetings? Do the people want all our money being used to redevelop the city of Newport? If your answer is no to any of those questions, then I suggest not voting Labour, but Plaid Cymru.
