ON THURSDAY (18th June) my neighbour Roy called me to see to his wife Maureen as she was struggling to breathe. The moment I saw her I knew I had to call 999. The first response paramedics were there in two minutes, while I was still talking to the operator, followed by the ambulance two minutes later. Maureen was treated at home before being taken to the RGH where she was treated by a fantastic team of doctors and nurses. After having all the tests done, it was, luckily, a bad panic attack and she was allowed home in the early hours of the next morning. Maureen wants people to know what a wonderful NHS we have in Newport, and to say a big thank you to everyone in A&E who looked after her.
