A STUDY by Heathrow Airport’s Linguist Section has found that the three best languages for English speaking British workers to learn are French, German and Mandarin Chinese, along with Japanese, Spanish, Arabic, Hindi, Russian, Polish and Italian, which enables bilingual Britons to earn? £35 a week more than the average wage.
Our young students should have the choice of these languages for future success in employment.
I wonder what Cardiff Airport’s studies have found concerning languages.
In his Argus letter (23.3.17) D Sheppard, responding to Susan Senior’s letter (17.3.17) regarding the new Welsh Language legislation, he wrote that “nowadays French and German languages are of diminishing importance!”
Who do we believe?
