PICTURES reveal that work on an iconic Monmouthshire footbridge - as seen on Netflix show Sex Education - is nearing completion.
The Wireworks footbridge, which crosses the Wye in the heart of the village, has been made world famous thanks to the Netflix hit series Sex Education.
It is also well-known by local walkers - it links up with the Wye Valley Greenway and the route up to Devil's Pulpit and the Offa's Dyke trail - and photographers.
The bridge has been closed for some time to allow repair works to take place.
Now, after "significant progress" last month, contractors VolkerLaser say that all work is expected to be finished by the end of April.
What work has been done on the Tintern Wireworks Bridge?
In an update statement, they said: "The first load of five beams for the centre ‘spine’ of the bridge was delivered to site on February 13.
"Each steelwork beam was lifted off the delivery vehicle and placed on the launching system ready for moving into position at the eastern end of the bridge.
"Earlier this week, works to remove the encapsulation sheeting began, in order to allow the scaffolding to be dismantled.
"The remaining masonry repair and repointing works are continuing to the existing bridge abutments and piers, and all works are currently expected to be complete by end of April 2023."
