SOME homes and businesses could flood as the Met Office have issued a new weather warning for today and tomorrow.
A band of heavy rain is being accompanied by strong and gusty winds and is set to move across Wales and southwest England.
The Met Office’s yellow rain warning says that a few homes and businesses could be flooded as a result of the rain.
They also warn to expect delays to bus and train services, as well as flooding on roads which could make some journey times longer.
Weather warning for Wales and southwest England
The warning will come into force at 5pm this evening and run until 4am tomorrow morning (Tuesday).
The Met Office said: “A band of heavy rain, accompanied by strong and gusty winds, will move eastwards across Wales and southwest England into central and southern England this evening.

“Up to 20-30 mm of rain could fall in a few hours with as much as 40-50 mm in a few spots in southwest England, South Wales and also north-western parts of Wales.
“Western parts of the warning area, except northwest Wales, will become drier from the west through the evening.”
