The 36-year-old track and field athlete won a bronze medal in the T44 200m at the 2008 Paralympic Games in Beijing, before claiming silver medals at both London and Rio Paralympics in the F44 Long Jump.
In an exclusive message on Good Morning Britain, Stef said: “I have some really exciting news. I’m going to be picking up a new sport this winter and it comes with a little bit of showbiz.
"I’m going to be a contestant on Dancing on Ice and it’s a little bit scary but I cannot wait!”
Reid will be joining Coronation Street’s Sally Dynevor and Bez from the Happy Mondays in the competition.
John Barrowman axed as Dancing on Ice judge
The news comes after ITV confirmed John Barrowman will be dropped as a judge on the latest instalment of the show yesterday.
The actor who found fame in Doctor Who and spin-off show Torchwood has been a judge on the show since 2019.
Barrowman, 54, first appeared on the show as a contestant in 2006 where he was the fourth celebrity to be evicted.
A spokeswoman for ITV said: “We thank John Barrowman for two brilliant years on the Dancing On Ice panel and are pleased to be working with him again as host of the forthcoming All Star Musicals specials.”
