AARON O'Connor came off the bench to score a last minute equaliser for Newport County AFC in today's friendly against Carl Zeiss Jena in East Germany.

Justin Edinburgh's men were 2-0 down early on to the German fourth tier outfit but a goal from Byron Anthony before the break gave the Exiles hope and O'Connor struck from the bench right at the death.

The 2-2 draw in Weimar replicates the score when the two sides met in Jena in the 1981 European Cup Winners' Cup quarter-final first leg.
