CWMBRAN’S Kyron Duke is a double medallist after producing the goods at the IPC World Athletics Championships in Lyon.
On Sunday the 20-year-old won bronze in the F41 shot put final with a throw of 11.64m. That distance eclipsed the personal best of 11.24m he set when making his Paralympic debut at London 2012.
But Duke wasn’t content to just head home with bronze – yesterday he took silver in the F41 javelin with a throw of 36.03m.
It represents a superb championships for Duke, who was fifth in the shot put and eighth in the javelin at London.
