NEWPORT County AFC will again be without key players from last season tonight, with a trio still sidelined.

The Exiles will be without striker Aaron O’Connor (groin), midfielder Mike Flynn (hamstring) and defender Tony James (hamstring) as well as goalkeeper Lenny Pidgeley, who is still unavailable due to personal reasons.

Argus columnist Flynn hopes to return to action in time for Saturday’s trip to beaten League Two play-off finalists Northampton, but the Cobblers clash is likely to come too soon for James.

The Argus understands the 33-year old aggravated a hamstring strain in training on Friday and could now miss up to a month of action.

However, County didn’t report any new injury issues following Satur-day’s impressive 4-1 victory over Accrington Stanley at Rodney Parade.
