GLAMORGAN all-rounder Jim Allenby has penned a new four-year deal at the Swalec Stadium.
The 30-year-old is the club's leading scorer in the County Championship and Yorkshire Bank 40 and his performances attracted the interest of other counties.
But Australia-born Allenby, who signed from Leicestershire in 2009, has agreed a deal that will keep him in Wales until the end of the 2017 campaign.
"We are delighted to have retained Jim's services for the next four years," said Glamorgan chief executive Alan Hamer. "He is a key member of our playing squad.
"The announcement re-affirms the club's determination to become a successful first-class county. We remain committed to retaining our best players and to challenge strongly in all forms of the game."
